Tristan Night is a Cape Town born, South African artist, seasoned with over 10 years of experience. Well known for his creative ability in the arts, and capability of creative solutions in business, he demonstrates a drive to discover what the ideal visual translation of a message/expression might be as an artwork.

Often known for “weaving poetry about life’s fleeting moments”, tristanight has been a channel of expression that is a journey many enjoy discovering.

Artistically, he holds a skill for portraiture and storytelling, above other passions; tattoo art, artwear (drawing on leather items), character design, music production, and graphic design.

Professionally, tristanight is a creative collaborator that proves his dedication to hard work and attention to detail, in the numerous commissions, project campaigns, and public jobs, completed.

Looking back at the years before 2025, with introspection about my creative journey that has been largely unpublicized – I’m noticing what’s important to highlight about my lore to newcomers.

Having grown up with many inspirations within the live Arts and Entertainment scene, I was able to consume media from various genres and ages when it came to cartoons, cinema and music as well as fashion. They might have been comics, or movies I’d hide inside of mentally, allowing my imagination to soak up the details and dreaming of what wonder I would one day be able to make.

Being influenced by more life of course, and studies of philosophy during my university years, led to a new complexity of my own thoughts and observations. This is round about when I stopped trying to capture the outer presence, but rather became interested in capturing the inner presence of a subject; the soul of something.

My work reflected much more expressive depictions in this time, and saw a stretch from traditional drawing mediums into newer outlets for my creative abilities. This is when I collected the doodles and scrap sketches that had developed a continuous theme, and sewed it into the first draft of my ‘World of Witchtown‘ project in 2017.

Realizing that a unique fiction world I was building would need a collection of ambience, the concept of “Drawing with music”, came to mind. Having nothing but a laptop left after moving away, in 2020, I started released phone recordings of some jam sessions from the past, while producing the first drafts of what ‘S.A.D Record‘ would become.

Today, ‘World of Witchtown‘ remains in development, largely kept secret from everyone except the creator while key details are still being polished before more is revealed to the public beyond early teasers of concept art, characters, and story. While this universe is being brought into existence, as a slow burn…

‘S.A.D Record‘ streams most successfully on Spotify, proudly showing off an official “This Is” playlist, and is still available on all platforms. With a discography of over 200+ beats, most of which are available for artists to collaborate on or enquire about purchase, this profile has seen a significant growth overtime that improves the more people discover it, playlist it and use it on social media.
